Historic AttractionsHistoric attractions near Asheville, just a few minutes drive from our cabins, include: The Biltmore Estate. This Beautiful Historic home was the largest private residence built in the United States. The house itself is over four acres and includes 250 rooms! For a more Literal sight, one might visit the childhood home of Thomas Wolfe, author of "Look Homeward, Angel" or the Carl Sandburg Home, the restored residence of the Pulitzer Prize winning poet and folklorist. In downtown Asheville take the Historic Trolley Tour on the restored trolley cars of a bygone era or take a unique walking tour: Historic or Ghost Tour at Tour Asheville. Or visit many of the other historic sites: The Historic Johnson Farm, the restored Oconaluftee Cherokee Indian Village, or the Wheels Through Time Automobile Museum. |
